WRW prides itself on embracing and driving innovation within the construction process. Although originally a European building philosophy born in the 1990’s we feel that in a society experiencing building running cost increases for both commercial and residential end users Passivhaus’ simple principle of high quality construction and intelligent rather that elaborate building design will play a significant role in ensuring iconic and sustainable buildings are built in the UK.

Passivhaus is one of WRW’s key offerings in both the residential and non-residential sectors. We have experience with meeting the exacting quality standards of Passivhaus and apply it’s principles where possible on all buildings regardless of full certification or not.

In alignment with our Responsible Construction policies, we favour Passivhaus philosophies of building and design for its energy-efficient qualities, and reduced impact on the environment. Typically we expect a Passivhaus structure to consume 90% less energy than an everyday building, due largely to its build quality and design detail.
