Ysgol Ffwrnes has received further recognition at the Insider Wales Property Awards 2015 by winning the extremely competitive Sustainable Development of the Year category sponsored by the RICS. The award winning Ysgol Ffwrnes project was funded by both Welsh Government and Carmarthenshire County Council and was noted to be a worthy winner of the category due to its high environmentally friendly features both during construction and in future use.
