Ysgol Ffwrnes has received further recognition at the Insider Wales Property Awards 2015 by winning the extremely competitive Sustainable Development of the Year category sponsored by the RICS. The award winning Ysgol Ffwrnes project was funded by both Welsh Government and Carmarthenshire County Council and was noted to be a worthy winner of the category due to its high environmentally friendly features both during construction and in future use.

The project BREEAM certification is in the final audit stages and on track to achieve BREEAM ‘Outstanding’ rating which will make Ysgol Ffwrnes the first Primary School in Wales to achieve BREEAM ‘Outstanding’ and one of only three education projects in the UK to achieve the standard.

Insider Wales Property Awards look to recognise the achievements of those individuals and firms whose skill, creativity and sheer determination have stood out over the last year. Business Development Director Jon Williams and Pre Construction Director Andrew Pettigrew attended the awards dinner which was held at the Marriott Hotel in Cardiff. The event was a complete sell-out with around 250 attending to celebrate the achievements of the past year.

We would also like to extend our congratulations to all those shortlisted at the evening's awards and a special mention to the other category winners which include:

Knight Frank - Agency Team of the Year

Capital Quarter by JR Smart - Development of the Year

Hugh James - Property Law Firm of the Year

Rio Architects - Consultant of the Year
