WRW has been awarded a place on the four year Westworks Framework to undertake design and build housing developments throughout England and Wales.

The framework which is potentially worth £2.2 billion was procured by Westworks Procurement Ltd which is a collaborative group of 13 member housing providers, groups and local authorities, working together to achieve better value through sharing resources, best practice and aggregated contract values. Westworks is a consortium backed by the Homes and Communities Agency and works alongside other consortia within the scheme. Key participating members include:

  • Aster Property Group
  • Bournemouth Borough Council
  • Elim Housing
  • Knightstone Housing Association
  • Merlin Housing Society
  • Alliance Homes
  • Solon South West Housing Association
  • Curo Housing Group
  • Sovereign Housing Association
  • Housing Solutions
  • Selwood Housing
  • Shepherds Bush Housing Group
  • Stroud District Council

The ITT process commenced in September last year and consisted of both Quality and Commercial submissions. Out of over 70 applications a total of 24 contractors have been placed on the framework, with WRW being successful on all three available Lots.

Lot 1 will consist of housing developments with 1-10 units with a value up to £1.5m, Lot 2 will consist of housing developments with 11-40 units with a value up to £4.5m and Lot 3 will consist of housing developments with over 40 units and a value over £4.5m.

The framework success follows on from other recent contract wins in the South West of England.  We would also like to express our thanks to the team at Westworks for the opportunity.
