Following on from previous awards success this year, WRW has been shortlisted for the Pride of Construction Awards 2015 in the Outstanding Employer - SME Category.
The Awards run by CITB will celebrate the achievements of individuals and organisations who are innovating and inspiring our industry including apprentices, employers, training providers and strategic partners dedicated to the skills and training agenda. The Outstanding Employer SME category recognises companies whose commitment to training and development is such that they are a role model for others and judges will be looking for a culture of people-focused development that is inspirational.
With over 200 nominations received for this year's Pride of Construction Awards, WRW are extremely pleased to be shortlisted in this competitive category which recognises our commitment to providing staff with the best possible environment to carry out their roles. The nomination further demonstrates that training and development is a fundamental part of WRW’s DNA with Founder and Managing Director, Robert Williams, receiving a MBE for his services to apprentices, training and skills within the construction industry in 2013.
Robert Williams was also one of the founder members and authors of the Award winning Carmarthenshire Shared Apprenticeship Scheme, and currently sits on the numerous industry training boards. With Business Development Director, Jon Williams, being a board member on the South East Wales Shared Apprenticeship Scheme ‘Y Prentis’, WRW are showing their commitment to supporting apprentices and trainees within the industry.
Winners will be announced at the Awards on Wednesday 25 November 2015.
Earlier this year one of our then Graduate Programme members and now BIM and Design Coordinator Lucy Stephens came runner up in the Design category for the Duke of Gloucester Young Achievers Awards.
As part of our ambitions to grow and be recognised as a leading national contractor WRW are seeking graduates to join our growing team via our 3 year structured programme. From construction specific roles such as Quantity Surveying and Design Coordination to Marketing and Accounting there are opportunities for driven and skilled persons in a variety of departments.
The successful candidates will be supported to undertake a fully funded MSc in an appropriate subject area on a part-time basis while working alongside our existing teams on live projects. Click here for further information and to apply today.
