WRW have been engaging with year 10 pupils to give careers advice at the latest Careers Convention in Carmarthen.

CITB Construction Ambassadors Kelly Edwards and Nina Williams attended the Carmarthenshire Careers Convention last week which was organised by Careers Wales in partnership with Carmarthenshire County Council and Coleg Sir Gar, with support from the Welsh Government.

All students at GCSE level from secondary schools in Carmarthenshire had the opportunity to meet employers and discuss recruitment opportunities. WRW provided advice and support on careers, skills in the workplace, jobs, an insight into the construction industry and graduate and apprenticeship schemes on offer. Our aim was to support them in making key decisions regarding their future and it was also a great opportunity to find students interested in undertaking their work experience placements with us.

The WRW stand drew in a lot of interest from pupils wanting to pursue a career in design, architecture and marketing where Kelly and Nina were able to advise them on what opportunities were available and give some examples of some of the roles WRW employ in these areas.
