Employees enjoyed a social evening on Friday 18th July at the Stradey Park Hotel where they were given their mid-year update for 2014.
Group Chairman Robert Williams delivered a presentation to inform employees on what's been happening at WRW in the first 6 months of 2014 and what lies ahead in the near future. Some new faces were introduced and Managing Director David Harris also gave a brief overview of current goings on. Staff were updated on what projects we currently have on site as well as what we have recently completed and what future projects lie in the pipeline.
Some achievements were also announced during the event. The first was a well-deserved and heartfelt congratulations from all at WRW in light of Site Manager Gary Roberts reaching an incredible milestone of 25 years' service with WRW. Gary is currently Site Manager on the £11m Ysgol Ffwrnes project and is the 7th employee of WRW since formation in 1985. Robert and Debbie are proud to have him as part of WRW's fabric and congratulated him on this significant achievement.
At the other end of the career path spectrum our Graduate Programme members Lucy Stephens and Daniel Prothero also received congratulations in progressing to the final stages of their respective Masters programmes, while Nathan Davies also received praise for his continued progression and achievement in working towards his undergraduate degree.
The event was well attended with a mixture of office and site based staff all enjoying the opportunity to get together and catch up.
