WRW Construction Ltd has appointed David Harris MBE as its Managing Director, to partner Group Chairman and founder Robert Williams MBE in the company’s continued development and drive for expansion.
David joins WRW from the UK’s largest construction entity, Balfour Beatty Group, where he has been Regional Managing Director for seven years. Founder of WRW Group and previous Managing Director Robert retains his role as Group Chairman, and his strategic partnership with David is based on a long-standing association of working together through professional bodies, forums and expert panels.
David brings with him a wealth of experience, having been instrumental in shaping Welsh Government’s construction sector panel. He will now spearhead WRW Construction’s progression in Wales and the South West of England.
Robert Williams, who is also Chairman of the Welsh Construction Skills Group, said: “David and I have known each other for some time through our professional associations and have many shared values and passions which make joining forces a natural progression for WRW".
“David is extremely well regarded within the sector both in Wales and the UK. Prior to his key role at Balfour Beatty Construction, he held a ten year tenure at Cowlin Construction Ltd where, as their Managing Director, he steered the group to the very highest position both in Wales and the West of England.
“His appointment will allow me to take up the post of Group Chairman which together with David’s involvement will permit me to spend time on our strategic and operational progression over the coming months and years."
“This is a significant landmark appointment for WRW and we are delighted that we have been able to attract such an influential, knowledgeable and experienced construction person of David’s calibre to WRW.”
On joining WRW, David said: “WRW has an outstanding track record and I am delighted to be joining such a well respected and experienced team with exemplary values to underpin future growth”.
